Who’s George Petrov
I am a software engineer at IG Index. I specialise in enterprise Java, but have a keen interest in other areas of software development, including project automation and what I call “mindful programming”.
I was born in Sofia in 1973 (Petrov is the most popular Bulgarian surname,) and moved to Britain in 1997, where I have lived and worked in Glasgow, Windsor, and Surrey. I graduated as an Economist (Statistics and Econometrics) from UNWE in 1994. Before that I studied in the Sofia High School of Maths.
Outside of work and computing, I like to travel, learn languages, play guitar, run, and practice yoga.
